Cannabis packaging in the European Union is judged against one hard test: can a five-year-old open it. That is what the EN ISO 8317 certification actually measures — a panel of children and a panel of adults, with pass thresholds set by the standard. If your packaging cannot demonstrate the paperwork, it does not belong on a regulated shelf.
Every Chubby Gorilla product we distribute is designed against that standard. Pop-top tubes, screw-thread jars, and resealable pouch containers — all certified, all traceable, all in stock in the Netherlands for next-week delivery across the EU.
Flower needs airtight jars that hold humidity and protect terpenes from UV. Pre-rolls need pop-top tubes that keep the cone straight and the moisture in. Concentrates and edibles need small screw-thread containers with a child-resistant closure that survives being opened and closed daily. Each of those problems has a Chubby Gorilla SKU that ships from EU stock this week.
EN ISO 8317 documentation is available for every certified SKU we sell. If a regulator, marketplace, or B2B customer asks for the paperwork, we can send it the same day. The upcoming Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, applying from 12 August 2026) also introduces a Declaration of Conformity requirement — we are collecting that paperwork directly from Chubby Gorilla so our customers have it before the deadline.
Yes. Every child-resistant SKU we distribute is designed and tested against EN ISO 8317. Certification documentation is available on request per SKU.
Yes. Our opaque jars and tinted tubes block visible-spectrum light that degrades cannabinoids and terpenes. Ask us about specific SKU spectra if UV is critical for your product.
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation requires a Declaration of Conformity for packaging placed on the EU market. We are collecting DoC documentation directly from Chubby Gorilla so our customers have it before the deadline rather than after.
